didnt know about the no mayo thing on an italian... i always get mayo if anything i told them hold the onions...sounds like an unwritten rule like no ketchup on a hot dog lol
Italian meats are already really fatty and flavorful, so you don't really need the mayo.

I could see mayo on a turkey breast sub or something though.

I get mine with hot capicola (not sweet) and sharp prov, oil and vin, lettuce onion sweet peppers, salt pepper oregano. Sometimes I’ll put hoagie relish on it if I have it in the fridge.
