Dude was hoping to trade 3 more wins for that 1 loss to Clemson so SC could be bowl eligible.

Also, what's with this story about the PAC12 paying the LA Times in exchange for positive press?

Not surprising considering that any dissent to Larry Scott or implication that the Pac 12 is bad for SC and UCLA gets shot down immediately by the LAT.

"IT'S SAFER TO HAVE FOOTBALL WITHOUT SCHOOL!!!"

Umm... No one is arguing that. Connelly misses and then gets the point in the same sentence.

USC's actually been having athletes who develop symptoms return to campus early to get treated and isolated by their doctors. So I don't doubt that college football can work if all the schools are doing it the same. It just won't be college football. It's more semi-pro than anything.

Well damn stanfan stanfan (did he get banned? Doesn't come up with the @s anymore) really wasn't ****ing with yall on this

Players union warned that MLB could reportedly shut down the season by Monday.

MLB working was really the only hope I had for college football happening. Not looking good.
yeah, if baseball is cancelled, i think that effectively ends college football this season

It blows my mind they didn’t think to take any extra precautions like the NBA is doing, foolish on their part
To be fair, it's easier to pitch the idea of a 1-2 month bubble in order to finish the season than it is a 3-4 month season. Also, college football players aren't unionized so they don't have a voice and their opinions aren't heard on this topic. college football players have no recourse if they don't want to play, individual players will sit out but the season will continue.

That's the exact point Bill is making though. The sooner schools and the NCAA are open and honest about football players being necessary to make millions of dollars and that they needed to be treated differently, the better it'll be. It's always been semi-pro at the major D-1 level

I believe the college players do have a voice. Its just gonna take more of them to speak out and perhaps opt out. Players have the power but don't realize it.

None of these people get paid if they choose to speak up and say this isn't good, we need better.

But they won't because they are young and the majority want to cash out on the lottery tickets. Sometimes you gotta save people from themselves.

Yes but the people making the "no school then no football" argument get that lol. Connelly is preaching to the choir.

Looks like SC and UCLA aren't going to be able to start 9/26 due to the outbreak and will eventually announce that they'll push the game back to October 31.
