I’m not knocking at all. Was just going on what you said. Wasn’t tryna offend or come off as if I was attacking. My bad if you took it that way. I never have, never will, and don’t understand the people that do, care how people spend their dinero. And I’d never knock or attack people for liking whatever pairs that they do like. If anything, people having different opinions and views and tastes is what I LOVE about NT. I was just confused on your comment and the logic. I never thought the LAtoChis were “trash. ” I wanted to like them out the gate, being a life long Kobe fan, but wasn’t a huge fan of the black contrast stitching, red lining, and the shades and pair not quite being Lakers shades or the Lakers pair I’ve always wanted. I admit that I came around though as it became clearer that those were the closest we’d get to the #31 Lakers pair, and with the passing of Kobe, they became a must. That to me is different then calling an entire MODEL “trash,” yet then then owning and liking a pair of said MODEL. But again, my bad if you received it as some type of way, that totally wasn’t my intention.Lol, bro you taking a lot of time on this, I truly don't care what you think and you should feel the same but apparently you don't, it's my money. Yes, 99% of lows are trash. 100% of mids are trash. Remember when you thought the LA to Chi SBs were trash, then you switched up and fiend for them? That's confusing logic too, but again, I truly couldn't care less. Relax and let's keep understanding that HIGHS are superior to them all.![]()
LMAO!! "Lows are wack! Except the pairs I own."![]()
Hey, it’s ok, you got exposed.Lol, bro you taking a lot of time on this, I truly don't care what you think and you should feel the same but apparently you don't, it's my money. I'm not reading that bro, sorry.I’m not knocking at all. Was just going on what you said. Wasn’t tryna offend or come off as if I was attacking. My bad if you took it that way. But ultimately, you’re right in that we both agree that Highs are superior (not knocking anyone in the forum that prefers Lows though).
Serious question though, how do the Craig Stecyk hold up and wear? That’s always been one of my favorite Jordan x SB collab pairs, but I never took the plunge due to the materials. It looks like a weird material to say the least. Not a fan of mismatched kicks, so always like them a smidge better than the LMs.
Lol. Okay.Hey, it’s ok, you got exposed.
Cool. Being in a wheelchair and not walking, I think it’s safe to say I’m at the very top, 100%, straight A’s, teacher’s pet, of the class of people who’s shoes don’t crease. In regards to those SBs, mine have held up great, the materials haven't bothered me. But I am also in that class of people that their 1s don't crease, and I have heard that these crease badly, just not my pair. Green is one of my favorite colors so I had to cop, you should definitely get em.
I’m a big fan of the JBxSB line and the Stecyk pair is hella sick. Colorway is dope, materials crease is wack but I still wear them. Treat yourself to a pair, my manCool. Being in a wheelchair and not walking, I think it’s safe to say I’m at the very top, 100%, straight A’s, teacher’s pet, of the class of people who’s shoes don’t crease.I also love the color green, so that was another reason I’ve been attracted to them. I’m also an absolute SB lover/collector. I might just have to take the plunge for real this time.
Are those white “dots” on the tongue and collar 3M? Always wondered about those.I’m a big fan of the JBxSB line and the Stecyk pair is hella sick. Colorway is dope, materials crease is wack but I still wear them. Treat yourself to a pair, my man
Round Twomy way to LA for the 1st time. Anybody out there got any recommendations as far as eats, sneaker shops & sightseeing?! Help out NT fam!!!![]()
Man your entire collection probably looks DSCool. Lmao. Word, that is true. No creases for you. I'm very happy my kicks don't crease though, they look horrible creased. I'm also in that class of people who recognize that beat 1s ain't it.Cool. I’ve been doing this for yearsHistorically, it depends on how big of a GR.. 2016 Space Jam 11s are going for $450-$500 after 4 years and there were over 1 million pairs of those produced 4 years ago. Meanwhile, the What The 4s that came out a little over a year ago could be found on discount a little over a year ago and are going for $300-$400 on the resale market now. OG Jordan 1s (which aren’t really sold in GR #s) are even more significant since Mochas which released last Fall could be bought from StockX for $250-$300 soon after release but now are going for over $400. I bought multiple pairs of Spider-Man 1s after release for around $300 with the intent of moving them a few years down the line to pay for my initial pair I had to pay resale for.. Given what they’re going for now, I think it was a smart idea.
If you have to pay resale for a pair of shoes and want to make up for paying resale costs, I would generally advise to pick up two pairs and move one in a year or two. With hyped OG 1s, you can typically make the initial price you paid for the personal pair you keep at least come down to retail with moving the 2nd pair. I’ve done this over and over when taking Ls on 1s. Obviously this doesn’t work as well with less hyped models and 11s tend to go up slower in value simply because there are so many holiday 11s typically produced.
Yep, I’m telling ppl that $500-$600 NGs will seem like a steal in 2-3 years.I’ve been doing this for years
Most of my collection does look DS. I do have a pair or 2 that, due to age, the Seattle elements, and because they might've been pairs I rocked tons when the collection was way smaller, has more substantial oxidation and yellowing. The only time I ever re-up is when a retro/re-release is better than an older version I have in terms of shape/build or OG type details (like 2011 vs 2018 Concords, or 2014 vs 2020 Carmines), or when an older pair I have is in a size that's not exactly perfect (half or full size smaller 20 years ago, which is how old some of my oldest pairs are), and I'd rather have a more comfortable size/fit there.Man your entire collection probably looks DS
Fresh kicks all the time - don't even need to re-up![]()
Thank you so much fam, I’ll definitely check some of these out for sure, I’ll be out here for almost a week.most things are closed out here sight seeing wise and a lot of the good restaurants shut down too...but definitely hit up Dave’s hot chicken, fairfax, Venice beach boardwalk, leimert park in south la, Griffith park, lil tokyo, Culver City steps, Elysian park overlooking dodger stadium, point dume in malibu...avoid all the supertouristy stuff If you don’t want covid.
edit: also for food - comfort la, majordomo, roscoes, almost any place in Chinatown, almost anyplace in Thai town, sonoratown for tacos, Mexicali for carne asada fries, pinks hot dogs on melrose, din tai fung (dumplings in San Gabriel valley are better, but further from la).
If mids were made with better construction and materials with Nike Air branding, they would be great. Jordan Brand could think more outside of the box and try different things like they do with Dunks. It would be a cool side thing happening. However, the way they are now is just not good. The majority don’t look good and the materials are really bad. The best mids I ever bought were the Old Love/New Love pack. However, got rid of them after Nike Air came back.Mids are fine as long is it stays with the Nike Air branding. Any Jumpman branding on the tongue or the heel kills it for me.
