Ex-Rep. Joe Walsh to challenge Trump in 2020 GOP primary
Joe Walsh, a former Illinois congressman ad tea party favorite turned radio talk show host, announced a longshot challenge Sunday to President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination in 2020, saying the incumbent is “completely unfit” for office and must be denied a second term.

“Somebody needs to step up and there needs to be an alternative” among Republicans, Walsh told ABC’s “This Week,” adding that “the country is sick of this guy’s tantrum. He’s a child. ... He lies every time he opens his mouth.”

Already in the race is former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld.

Walsh narrowly won a House seat from suburban Chicago in the 2010 tea party wave but lost a 2012 reelection bid and has since hosted a radio talk show. He has a history of inflammatory statements regarding Muslims and others and declared just before the 2016 election that if Trump lost, “I’m grabbing my musket.”

Ok I see his recent little "change" makes sense now, been trying to position himself as the anti-Trump conservative.

This idiot reacted more to Denmark refusing to sell Greenland than he did to Russia meddling in the 2016 election.

As is to be expected, Trump makes up a blatant lie about other world leaders at the G7 to attack the American press.
They should stand up and denounce this fabrication.

Also, there is a reason Russia was expelled from the G8. That reason was of course the annexation of Crimea. It was president Obama who spearheaded the expulsion effort.
Not only has Trump previously stated that he would be open to recognizing Crimea as Russian territory, to date he has only condemned Obama for Russia's annexation of Crimea, not Russia/Putin.

Additionally, Russia does not qualify for a return to the would-be G8 even when putting all the above aside. The G7 consists of the IMF's list of the largest advanced economies. Therefore Russia would not qualify as an 8th member.

Walsh and Weld will eat shot and struggle to get 1% support in the polls. The reason is because rank and file GOP voters aren’t libertarian. They put on the costume of libertarianism when Obama was president. Feigning concern of “the debt!” was part of the Atwater Progression (n word to forced bussing to taxes to debt and deficits). The tea party was an absolutely dishonest undertaking whose viability was only as durable as the tenure of a black president (or at least a Democratic presidency).

It is true that the donor class (of both parties) wants low taxes, no regulations on business and a total dismantling of the social safety net and Donald Trump’s administration has catered to those desires. That’s the donor class which ultimately decides policy in America. However, the question of whose *** sits in which seat behind the resolute desk still is up to voters (albeit a shrinking, wealthy and aged cohort of citizens who form the electorate). A sufficiently large portion of that electorate loves Donald Trump. They love an imperial figure who will do whatever it takes to advance perceived white interests in a race war, first principles of “limited government” be damned.

When Weld and Walsh's campaigns fail, I would hope that our mainstream media will cite this as proof of how shallow conservative support for “small government” really is and how white nationalism is the true Lode Star for conservatives. Of course, that will not be the case and the MSM will serve up pablum about Trump’s force of personality or the power of incumbency.

This is what happens when Libs mine for money rather than the love of the game. Michael Jordan is considered the Donald Trump of basketball. He is rich, athletic and HANDSOME but he didn't get that way playing ball for the money but for the love of the game. These miners aren't affiliated with Coal Gang and I suspect they are angry because the Soros checks bounced. PATHETIC

    Just to add:

I have 17 years of paycheques from working in the coal mine that I have never even tried to cash.

I'm in it for the right reasons.

Seeing Donald Trump as president has been payment enough.

The Roman Statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero said that all wars are decided by Soros bucks. That was over 2000 years ago and Soros still deciding outcomes with his bucks. I just wish that Soros would be more loyal to his home country of Israel and let Israel win some more so we can rebuild that temple and start Armageddon and I can be swept up to the great coal mine and jet ski dealership in the sky.
